Basalt geogrid (grid grid) is a plane network material made of alkali resistant, acid resistant and corrosion resistant basalt fiber yarn, woven into a base material by weaving machine, using warp knitting directional structure, making full use of the yarn strength in the fabric to make it have good tensile strength, tear resistance and creep resistance, and coated with high-quality modified asphalt. Its characteristics are as follows:
1. High tensile strength and low elongation.
2. Excellent physical and chemical stability.
3. No long-term creep: basalt fiber will not creep, ensuring that the product can maintain performance for a long time.
4. Good thermal stability: the melting point of basalt fiber is above 1500 ºC, ensuring the stability of basalt geogrid under high temperature during paving operation.
5. Resistance to fatigue cracking.
6. High temperature resistant rutting.
7. Low temperature shrinkage cracking resistance: the application of basalt geogrid in asphalt pavement has improved the transverse tensile strength of the pavement, greatly improving the tensile strength of asphalt concrete, which can resist large tensile stress without damage.
8. Compatibility with asphalt mixture: basalt geogrid is highly compatible with asphalt, thus ensuring that basalt fiber geogrid will not be isolated from asphalt mixture in the asphalt layer.
Application area:
Basalt fiber geogrid is an excellent geosynthetic material used for pavement reinforcement, old road reinforcement, subgrade reinforcement and soft soil foundation. It has high tensile strength and low elongation in both warp and weft directions, and has excellent performances such as high temperature resistance, low cold resistance, aging resistance, corrosion resistance, etc. It is widely used in the reinforcement of asphalt pavement, cement pavement and subgrade, and engineering projects such as railway subgrade, embankment slope protection, airport runway, sand prevention and control.

Basalt fiberThe development of basalt fiber began in the Soviet Union in the 1960s. At that time, basalt fiber exceeded glass fiber in some characteristics, its strength was higher than steel, and its high strength retention rate at high temperature of 700 º C attracted the attention of the Soviet . After more than 20 years of continuous practice, Soviet scientists finally developed the production process and technology of basalt continuous fiber.Continuous basalt fiber (CBF) is a new type of inorganic fiber material with high performance. It is a continuous fiber made of volcanic rock (a variety of basalt, natural basalt stone mainly composed of oxides such as silica, alumina, calcium oxide, iron oxide and titanium dioxide) as raw materials, melted at 1450 ºC ~ 1500 ºC and pulled at high speed through platinum rhodium alloy wire drawing leakage plate. Because the fiber color is golden brown, it is also known as "golden fiber". Continuous basalt fiber has the advantages of good stability, good electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, flame retardant, high temperature resistance and low temperature resistance. It has excellent comprehensive performance, low raw material cost, natural environmental protection and high cost performance. Basalt fiber is a pure natural inorganic non-metallic material, which can be degraded into soil parent material and absorbed by soil. It is a green environmental protection product. Performance characteristics of basalt fiber:1. Outstanding temperature resistance. The service temperature range of CBF is: - 260 ~ 900 ºC (softening point is 960 ºC). 2. Outstanding tensile strength: the tensile strength of CBF is 3800 ~ 4800 MPa. 3. Natural compatibility with silicate. It belongs to silicate like cement and has stable performance in alkaline medium.4. Outstanding chemical stability, excellent acid and alkali corrosion resistance and water resistance. 5. Significant thermal vibration stability. The mass loss fraction of CBF at 900 ºC is only 0.03. 6. Good dielectric properties. The volume resistivity is one order of magnitude higher than that of glass fiber, and the dielectric loss tangent is 50% lower than that of glass fiber. 7.
